It’s official, the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean film will be released in 2017! The directors are Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, two very talented Norwegian film directors, who co-own one of Scandinavia’s largest production companies for commercials called Motion Blur, and already known for their Academy Award-nominated high sea movie Kon-Tiki. The complete name of the next film is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Most of the amazing cast has been reconfirmed, like Johnny Depp as the funny and eccentric Jack Sparrow, Geoffrey Rush as Hector Barbarossa, Kevin Mc Nally as Joshamee Gibbs, and Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar, and the first scenes have been shot in the beautiful Australia.
This time Jack Sparrow is pursued by the terrifying old rival, Captain Salazar (the first Pirates of the Caribbean villain to be a ghost), and we’ll follow the adventure while he’s searching for the Trident of Poseidon: if he’ll find it, he’ll have the control of all the seas.
But, one of the most exciting news of this next movie is that Orlando Bloom will be back, playing the role of Will Turner!
So, in Dead Men Tell No Tales we’ll have all the elements that we love, ghost ships, beautiful, ancient and scary surroundings, legends, fantasy, adventure, comedy, and drama.
Can’t wait to watch it, this is the incredible return of an iconic film.
